Maryland DNR enhanced with CommandBridge™ Nautilus

Mariner provides regional maritime situation awareness capabilities to the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) in the Chesapeake Bay with its latest release, CommandBridge™ Nautilus. CommandBridge enhances the DNR’s Maritime Law Enforcement Information Network (MLEIN) by unifying the systems already onsite and advances regional awareness beyond the DNR to their local Coast Guard partner, Sector Baltimore. CommandBridge also furthers Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley's drive to improve the protection of critical infrastructure and meet other Homeland Security goals.

U.S. Department of Homeland Security picks Mariner for Long Beach project

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security selects Mariner to support its new integration test bed in Long Beach, California. Long Beach is a major shipping hub through which 40% of all imports and exports to U.S. travel. The project deploys CommandBridge™ at a Coast Guard command center and integrates with a U.S. Navy tactical network.

CommandBridge™ selected for DHS port security pilot project in Miami

Mariner installs CommandBridge™ at the Coast Guard Sector Miami Command Center in Florida as a pilot project to enhance security at the Port of Miami with its actionable regional situation awareness technology. The Miami Sector Command Center facilitates the execution of all U.S. Coast Guard missions in its domain and provides information and coordination capability to other government agencies and port partners. This project is a turning point for Mariner because it provides the opportunity for Mariner to first thoroughly study the Coast Guard’s existing situation awareness processes, challenges and data sources. Mariner tailored the CommandBridge™ platform so that it had capability to create rule-based, actionable awareness. The result of this work was the development of the next generation of CommandBridge™ 4.0. Dana Goward, then the director of the Coast Guard’s Maritime Domain Awareness office commended the work, saying, “CommandBridge is an invaluable tool providing the Coast Guard with the ability to successfully ensure the safety and security of U.S. waters,”
